Tbilisi Waste Treatment Project – PIU Support and Construction Supervision, Georgia
The overall objective of the EBRD funded assignment is to facilitate the timely and effective implementation of the Waste Treatment Project, by providing assistance to Tbilservice. The first municipal solid waste treatment plant in Tbilisi, aims at diverting waste sent to the Didi Lilo landfill. The plant will consist of a Material Recovery Facility (“MRF”) and a Mechanical-Biological Treatment (“MBT”) plant.
The project tasks include: a) assistance with the capacity building of the PIU, b) preparation of Detailed Designs and Technical Specifications for the Waste Treatment facilities, c) assistance with procurement, tendering and Contract implementation (construction supervision), d) assistance with compliance and reporting obligations under the financing documents and e) environmental and social implementation support.
