Preparation of the National Waste Management Plan, Montenegro

The “Preparation of the National Waste Management Plan for Montenegro for the period 2022-2026” is implemented for the Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism and funded by the EU (IPA II / 2014-2020). 

The aim of the project is to a) develop the MWMP for the period 2023– 2028, with focus on separation at source, development of recycling schemes and circular economy, b) develop a financing system for cost recovery of waste management services at local level and c) increase the authorities’ capacities for implementation and enforcement of the NWMP measures.
